Wow! It’s been a crazy few weeks! Hopefully those of you who celebrate had a fabulous Thanksgiving Holiday and you’re all ready for the start of the Christmas season!

I’ve been binge watching all may favorite Christmas movies while testing cookie recipes and trying to remember to grab a coat every time I step outside.

Over the past weeks I’ve been to Cincinnati for the Saveur Blog Awards and I’m proud to say that Two Cups Flour won Best Photography! Thank you so much for all the support it truly means the world to me. I ate so much fabulous food and sipped lots of bourbon. Then I took my annual New York trip with my mom to see Broadway shows, Christmas lights, and of course eat all the things. This year it finally snowed during our visit, which we completely geeked out over. Yep, total snow freaks here.

Now, its back to the kitchen for testing and sampling holiday recipes. I’ve got pastry, cookies, and some cakes in the works. Do you have a favorite holiday dessert that you make every year?

Since there will be so much bustle I decided a creamy cocktail to help wash down the cookie crumbs was in order! Try one of these Salted Caramel Mudslides and let me know what yah think.

Salted Caramel Mudslide

Salted Caramel Mudslide

  • 2-3 Tbsp Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Coffee Liquor
  • 1.5 oz Irish Cream
  • 2 oz Heavy Cream
  • Garnish

Sugared Rosemary Garnish

  • 4-5 Rosemary Sprigs
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar for coating


Sugared Rosemary Sprigs

  1. In a small saucepan on medium heat bring 1/3 Cup Water and 1 Cup Granulated Sugar to a low boil. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and gently stir the 4-5 rosemary sprigs into the sugar. Place sprigs on parchment paper to dry for 1-2 hrs.
  2. Once liquid sugar has firmed onto rosemary gently coat them in granulated sugar. Then use as garnish.

Salted Caramel Mudslide

  1. Make Homemade Caramel Sauce prior and store in fridge.

  2. Take a 250 ml glass and dribble caramel sauce around the inside of the glass with a spoon.

  3. Place three square ice cubes in the glass.

  4. Combine vodka, coffee liquor, Irish cream, and heavy cream into a shaker. Shake to mix then pour into glass over ice.

  5. Garnish with sugared rosemary sprig for a festive look.
