Waffle Batter
- 1 ½ Cups (192 g) Buckwheat Flour
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Sugar
- 1 ¼ tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ¼ tsp Kosher Salt
- ½ tsp Cinnamon Powder
- ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1 ¼ Cups (310 ml) Vanilla Almond Milk
- 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter melted
- 1 large egg
Topping
- Sweet Dark Cherries
- Amber Maple Syrup
Combine all DRY ingredients into a medium bowl and whisk together.
In a separate small bowl combine all LIQUID ingredients and whish together.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir with spoon. Let batter sit for 3-5 minutes to amplify flavor.
Spray waffle iron with non-stick coconut spray.
Ladle batter onto waffle iron and cook for 8 minutes or until done.
Serve with fresh cherries and maple syrup!
