There’s just something about this time of year that makes me want to turn on the oven and bake something cozy. I love summer berries and fruit tarts, but come September, I’m stocking up on cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Pumpkin, apples, oatmeal, caramel are all the flavors that make fall feel like fall.

September also brings me back to a little baking nostalgia. The time of year when the mornings are cooler, blue jeans become everyday outfits and having a loaf cake on the counter for breakfast is completely normal.

If you’re just as in love with fall baking as I am, these cozy cakes, seasonal treats, and homemade versions of childhood favorites are just what you need to bake this September.
